Stretching the talents of the stylish 500L people carrier, the 500L MPW offers even more space and seating for seven.
The 500L MPW is the largest member of the 500 family, adding space behind the rear wheels to accommodate an extra row of occasional seats.
It’s still a 500, though, which means charming retro looks and lots of personalisation options.
Every 500L MPW rides on gorgeous 16-inch alloy wheels, with a wide choice of body colours, including two-tone options, available.
Large windows ensure the cabin is flooded with light, and help visibility during town driving too, while a full-length electric sunroof provides an uninterrupted view of the sky on Lounge models.
The 500L MPW is all about practicality, with 1,500 seating combinations available and 22 storage compartments on hand. But that’s not at the expense of style, with a bold body-coloured dashboard (on the Pop Star trim) and stylish controls. In five-seat mode, the boot is very large – anywhere from 493 to 638 litres, depending on where you’ve placed the sliding middle bench. When you need the sixth and seventh seats, slide the middle row forward, lift them out of the floor, and then tumble the middle row to let back-row passengers in and out. Then slide the middle row to the perfect position so everyone gets the legroom they need.
You can expect lots of luxuries as standard, like air conditioning and rear armrests, that make it a pleasure for everyone to spend time in the 500L MPW. Lounge models even come with tray tables for the middle row of seats, so you can keep youngsters occupied with colouring books and tablet computers.
Choose from two punchy diesel engines to power the 500L MPW. Opt for a 1.3-litre MultiJet with 95bhp (and the option of a Dualogic gearbox), or add extra power with the 120bhp 1.6-litre model. Both feature fuel-saving start/stop technology.
Whichever you choose, you can look forward to fuel economy of at least 67mpg and CO2 emissions of 112g/km at most. These combine to ensure low running costs, leaving more money in your family’s weekly budget for the really important things.
Safety is fundamental. That’s why every 500L MPW comes with six airbags to protect you and your family in the event of an accident. You also get a tyre pressure monitoring system, Electronic Stability Programme, and Hill Holder to prevent the car from rolling backwards during hill starts.
Every 500L MPW comes with a five-inch touchscreen radio with Bluetooth technology, with the option to upgrade to a DAB digital radio with satellite navigation. Cruise control takes the strain out of long-distance journeys, while rear parking sensors also come as standard, so the end of the drive is equally stress-free.
