Nothing says freedom and adventure like the Jeep Wrangler 2 door. From safaris, to surf trips and road trips to journeys deep into forests, the Wrangler has done it all and it hasn’t disappointed. That’s why this iconic 4x4 has been produced for over 70 years.
Exterior
The Jeep Wrangler 2 Door is built for purpose with its chunky stance, box-like shape and colossal off-road tyres. Everyone will instantly recognise the Jeep Wrangler with its seven-slot grille and circular headlamps.
It almost looks vintage because it’s such an iconic 4x4 and Jeep has retained much of its styling. Every adventure can be accommodated by the Wrangler 2 Door.
You can even take off the doors and pull back the roof for an even freer feeling. The Wrangler is the only 4x4 with a convertible roof.
Interior
While the exterior looks much the same as it always has, the interior has been given a contemporary makeover. You still get to enjoy the high riding position and feeling of space afforded by the flat-fronted dashboard, but it has added comfort features like Temperature Control and steering wheel-mounted controls. Choose to upgrade the trim level to add extra luxuries like heated leather seats in the front.
Open the tailgate and there are 430 litres of boot space for your luggage, sports gear, a tent and a coolbox. There are plenty of other storage points throughout the cabin too, including a generous glovebox and a lockable box in the centre console for safely holding phones, tablets and cash.
The Wrangler 2 Door is made for off-roading. You can choose from two powerful engines, a 2.8-litre four-cylinder that puts out 200bhp, and a 3.6-litre V6 boasting 284bhp. The latter of the two is made from aluminium to keep it lightweight for fast performance.
When you’re driving off-road over tough terrain, you can use the Command-Trac traction system® to select the type of grip you need for each road. You can also disconnect the front stabiliser in the suspension so each wheel can move independently. The Rubicon version is the most capable for off-roading because it has three driving modes that you can select: 2WD, 4WD High and 4WD Low. You can choose a mode depending on the type of terrain you need to tackle and the Wrangler will automatically adjust the components of the drive to deliver the performance required.
Technology and safety
The Wrangler is more hi-tech than ever before with UConnect™ fitted as standard. While you’re concentrating on the drive, you can control the music and take calls simply using voice controls. You can choose to add navigation which will be shown on a 6.5-inch screen in the dashboard. For added convenience and safety, the wing mirrors are heated to quickly melt any snow and ice to increase your visibility.
Jeep’s sport bar frame is strong under impact and the cabin has a number of airbags to keep you and your passengers safe in a collision. Thanks to Hill Descent Control, Electronic Stability Control and an off-road-tested braking system, the Jeep Wrangler 2 Door is incredibly surefooted on the road.
